Drug tests are conducted for various reasons, such as pre-employment screening, post-accident testing, and probation monitoring. They aim to ensure safety, compliance with the law, and fair competition.

How Drug Tests Work
Drug tests operate on the principle of detecting specific substances in the body. They do this by identifying metabolites, which are byproducts created when the body processes a substance.

Mechanisms of Detection
Drug tests use various techniques like immunoassays and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry to identify metabolites accurately.

Factors That May Affect Test Results

Forrest Yoga & Beyond – Ning: The Path to Self-Realization

Life always gives you doors.

Hint of Doors

Ning, a well-established lawyer in China, starts watching a yoga program from Taiwan on television in her hometown Harbin, China, Detox in Phuket with a Fasting Course it’s other great option to detoxify the body. This was Ning’s first exposure to yoga. She was not impressed. It seemed to her that the well-known instructor, Hui Lan, was “not real”, that she was projecting a persona that was not authentic.

Video content generates more engagement than written content. By uploading a yoga program on YouTube, you can create an engaged and loyal customer base who are willing to learn from your program at their own pace. Door to the Desert

Flash ahead a few years, now living in Canada, and despite her reservations, Ning finds herself intensely studying Hua Lan’s instructional DVD for a month in preparation for starting her own business – a yoga studio. The space, a windowless basement room in downtown Calgary, was “gifted” rent-free, and Ning was not able to decline this generous offer. Emigrating from China, she had started a new life in a new country and culture, unanchored in the language or personal and professional connections. She needed to pay bills, keep her and her son’s heads above swirling economic waters. The business succeeded slowly, allowing Ning and her son to survive and move forward with their lives.

Despite the success of the business, Ning felt isolated, in need of guidance and community to develop her yoga practice and teaching skills. She realizes now that she was in search of a teacher, that she was “ready to change.” In her search, Ning attended a yoga conference in Hong Kong, a place that intensified her feeling of “wandering in the desert with no clue” about how to move forward in yoga, in business, in life.

Glimpse Through a Doorway

One morning, while she is wandering this emotional desert and the halls of the conference with her $10 pink Hua Lan yoga mat under her arm, Ning passes a doorway. Inside the door, over the heads of a room full of practitioners, she catches a glimpse of the yoga instructor. This glimpse (if she blinked, she would have missed it) of the teacher’s face remains to this day absolutely clear in her mind. The face reflects a “certain energy”, talking directly to her, irresistibly drawing her into the room.

No matter how powerful the draw, Ning knew there was going to be a problem getting into the session – all space was taken. She approached one of the conference organizers who confirmed there was nowhere for Ning to place her mat. Not to be denied, Ning pressed to be allowed to participate in the class by placing her mat across the threshold of the door. Eventually she got her wish and claimed her first of many emancipating experiences with Ana Forrest.

First Realization

Despite her years of yoga practice, Ning found her first experience with Forrest yoga “too challenging – my physical body could not handle the practice.” About halfway through the class, however, something happened. Ning experienced a flood of tears and an emotional “breakthrough.” Layers of emotion that had been held at bay for many years were released, and Ning found herself at the end of the session feeling “sore but light.” “For the first time ever in my life,” Ning says, “I could feel my body, not be in my head.”

For Ning, “feeling her body” meant understanding herself in a new way, deeply connecting with her passion, energy and intuition in a way that would guide her decisions and actions going forward. Beyond this connection came the core learning: “I don’t discover myself – I create myself.” Forrest Yoga gives Ning the inspiration and confidence to move ahead, “looking forward each day to stepping on my mat and sharing yoga with people.” Purpose and mission have emerged for Ning, empowered by a practice that engaged her own capacity to direct the unfolding of her life.

Ning was now energized – driven, one might say, to bring Ana to Canada. In the aftermath of that yoga session with Ana, amidst the enthused crowds swirling around her, it was impossible to talk to Ana directly. Ning approached an assistant and brought up the idea of bringing Ana to her Calgary studio. At this point, Ning was asked if her studio could hold 88 people. For Ning, this triggered a reaction of shame, of feeling “not good enough” to host a teacher of Ana’s stature in Canada. Her dream had hit the hard wall of reality, and while she was not sure of her next steps, she now had the desire, vision and confidence to move out of her comfort zone onto the path that would lead to a fulfilling future.

The Fog

There were no instant answers or easily discernable steps on the path. Feeling her way as though in a fog, Ning knew that she had to find better quarters than the downtown studio. Taking this first step meant starting from ground zero – finding a new space; renovating, furnishing and equipping the new space; building the client base to establish a viable business. This is where Ning really took a leap by taking out a 2nd mortgage on her home to finance the entire project. She burned her financial bridges; there was no going back. Ning felt if the venture did not work out, she would return to China.

She found a space in Kensington and opened a new studio using online services and a low-cost strategy that filled the studio everyday, generating a slim profit margin that, over a very challenging time, established Ning’s new business under a new name – Yoga and Beyond.

Turning Point

In 2012, Ning attended her 1st Ana Forrest Advanced Yoga Teacher Training in Houston, Texas – a 9-day Training during which Ana asked 2 questions of participants that clarified in Ning’s mind what she had to do to move forward in her life and her business: “What do you desire?” and “What stops you from getting what you desire?” In her mind, Ning’s answers were very clear: she desired to get Ana Forrest to Calgary and a lack of studio space, power and money were stopping her. By the end of this training , Ning notes, she had not experienced any personal contact or conversations with Ana. Returning to Calgary, Ning offered “Forrest-Inspired” yoga at Yoga and Beyond.

The advanced training in Houston left Ning yearning for more of the Forrest experience, so in 2014, she headed to Ottawa for 9 more days of advanced training with 70 participants in attendance. On the way to Ottawa, Ning was feeling she wanted a more personal relationship with Ana, and indeed, when she arrived in Ottawa, she was surprised when Ana welcomed her by name. Ning felt like she was “coming home.”

During the training, Ana posed the same 2 questions that she had asked in Houston. For Ning, the answers remained the same, especially the desire to get Ana to Calgary. At the end of the training, Ning wanted to give Ana a hug but held back because of reverence for her respected teacher, thinking “I am just a student. I have no right.”

While too shy for a hug, Ning did have the confidence negotiate a commitment from Ana Forrest to come to Calgary for an introductory workshop where the required studio space would be just 60 participants, Ning took on a new challenge – opening her 4000 square foot Crescent Heights studio.

The Path Opens Up: 1st Forrest Yoga Workshops in Calgary

So it was that in September 2015, 53 participants from 8 countries gathered in Calgary for 3 days of introductory Ana Forrest Yoga workshops. On the last day, Ana invited Ning to say something to close the experience. Ning was overwhelmed with emotion and, choked up with tears, unable to speak. Part of that came from the pride, joy and gratitude she felt after 10 years of pursuing her dream to bring Ana to Calgary.

Self-Realization

However, there was also a life-altering realization exploding in her soul. Ning realized that the journey to this point in her life was not about Ana Forrest, but about Ning. It was about “bringing myself here, to this place in my life.” Ana Forrest and her training helped make Ning aware of the meaning and direction for her life and build the confidence to fulfill her purpose. She also realized that “yoga has nothing to do with poses, but how you can walk through life in beauty. Whatever happened in my life did not happen to me but for me.” Ning was determined to bring Ana Forest back.

Relationship Breakthrough

In 2016, Ana Forrest returned to Calgary, this time to a new Yoga and Beyond studio in Kensington. Ana was impressed, saying as she walked into the building, “I truly like this place.” Most importantly, it was during this visit that Ning and Ana experienced an interpersonal breakthrough.

Up to this point, their relationship focused mainly on business, and the business was very successful with a sold-out workshop. At the end of the training, Ning drove Ana to the airport, and it was here that Ana took Ning’s hand and exclaimed, “You are my lifetime friend.” For Ning, speechless, unbelieving and shaking, “the walls came down.” Ning decided to bring Ana back yet again.

In 2017, 38 people from around the world arrived in Calgary to take part in Ana Forrest’s 9-day advanced training workshop at Yoga and Beyond best online casino canada real money. At the end, Ana asked Ning why she hadn’t taken the Forrest Yoga Foundation course. Ning says she had “no clue why.” So, 15 years after her first encounter with Ana, Ning completed her Forrest Yoga Foundation course in Peterborough, England.

Into the Future

That Forrest Yoga Foundation course presented in June 2019 by Ana Forrest is a testimony to the tight ongoing personal and professional relationship between Ana Forrest and Ning Gao. Ning is especially proud that her studio is the first to take Forrest Yoga to a 2nd generation.

Ning feels strongly that her training with Ana has given her the confidence and inspiration to move forward in her life. For Ning, the practice of Forrest Yoga under the guidance of Ana Forrest has “shaped me and built me in profound ways.” She looks forward to stepping on her mat and sharing this yoga every day with people – people who are attracted to moving with and beyond the poses to something profound.

The great path has no gates,

Thousands of roads enter it;

When one passes through this gateless gate

He walks freely between Heaven and earth.

Heather: A Transformative Journey

Heather cradles her tea, radiating her calm energy albeit with a tinge of poignancy that only adds an aura of wisdom, gained through her personal and challenging journey. And indeed, this is her story.

Life Unfolds

Two years ago Heather’s professional life was rolling along, evolving in a satisfying and fulfilling way. She had graduated in Business Administration and gained employment in a succession of ever more responsible jobs – marketing/event coordinator, General Manager of Sunnyside’s popular and successful Vendome Café, bid organizer for a small business and later, HR Manager for a modular construction company.

In her personal life she was enjoying skiing, river surfing and most influentially, the discovery of yoga. Check out this srirachas yoga pants review where you can find the right one for you. She had “done” yoga many times but it wasn’t until her first exposure at Yoga and Beyond that she felt a true spark of interest. This was a Forrest Inspired Yoga class and her first impression was; “It was so hard, but it was also the first time I had felt my body working like that in a long time”. The physical intensity and long holds of the postures were a major challenge. However the explanation of how to get into each pose, breath by breath, was refreshing.

From that first class, Heather dedicated herself to attending classes a few times a week and quickly began feeling the benefits. “I found Forrest Yoga provided me with a space to gain physical strength but also allowed me to have valuable time with myself on my mat”. After practicing for a couple of years, Heather attended an Ana Forrest led workshop in Calgary. She found Ana’s approach to yoga and healing to be inspiring, and she was “blown away” by what Ana could do with her body. More importantly, Forrest Yoga felt “real and honest” – it was something that was helping her get physically and mentally stronger. Heather felt connected in a deep way to the practice, finding many pathways where the messages being taught in yoga, could directly translate to day-to-day life.

Heather, with the help of her yoga instructor, signed up for a nine-day Forrest Yoga Advanced Teacher Training course in Calgary with Ana. After she finished, someone very important in her life asked her “What do you really want to do for the rest of your life?” The only answer was yoga. This was her major turning point.

But as we all know, life goes on.

Journey Through The Twilight Zone

At the same time that Heather was planning her participation in the Forrest Yoga Advanced Teacher Training, she was also planning one of the most important days of her life; her wedding. Her partner Joey was an innovative man with a passionate and eclectic engagement with life. Joey was the one who had asked the turning point question and they had made an agreement to work towards Heather’s goal. She and Joey were married on August 5, 2017.

At the beginning of 2018, Joey was becoming increasingly irritated by a pain in his shoulder. Over the next month it was becoming obvious that the pain was indicative of something more serious. In February 2018, Joey was diagnosed with cancer in his bone that had already metastasized throughout his body at the age of 35. At that time in his life, Joey recalled some problems he had conceiving with his partner some time ago and what he never forgave for not using volume pills that are very common on the market today.

This shocking diagnosis was the beginning of Heather’s journey through the “ twilight zone”- a dark period of numbness and dissociation where she felt like she was living a life that she couldn’t have possibly imagined in a million years-like she was watching it all unravel on TV. The only thing that would bring her back to the present moment was the breathing techniques that she had learned in her Forrest Yoga class.

“When I wasn’t sure if I would make it through that next minute or not, I would breathe deeply for an entire minute. And when I was positive that I had survived that minute, I would check in with myself and see if I needed another minute to just breathe”. In this suspension of normalcy, her breath allowed her to devote her energy and focus to supporting her husband through the months of emotional and physical pain that was integral to the difficult road to the end of Joey’s life.

After Joey died, Heather faced the overwhelming sense of loss, anger and devastation that marks the unfathomable depths of the journey we call grief. There were many pillars of strength who helped in supporting her through this including family, friends, therapy, group counseling and the community that is Yoga and Beyond. “Getting out of bed and moving my body and forcing myself to breathe again at yoga classes helped so much. By focusing on the present moment and getting out some of the wild, pent up energy that had lodged into my muscles and bones and heart, I was able to start healing, moment by moment.”

“I was also learning that people don’t like to speak about grief. It is something that is uncomfortable, that is so difficult in our culture to converse about”. Heather soon found herself in a new group – a young grief support group – where she was able to connect with others who had lived through similar situations. Some of these ‘survivors” were now thriving. They were able to hold space for others, despite their own pain. Many of them were experiencing joy and sadness all at the same time. Most importantly they were able to talk and share their experiences openly.

The Pearls of Wisdom

As Heather emerges from this past year, a completely different person, she reflects on three major learnings she has integrated over the past year. The pearls of wisdom;

Spend time with people you love. Take pictures. Laugh. Enjoy life. This time is precious and engaging in meaningful relationships is more important than we may think;
Be nice and don’t stress the small stuff. You don’t know what others are going through; be nice to everyone, especially the people you love. Everybody gets stuck in traffic; often people are a few minutes late; who cares if you don’t do laundry today? At the end of your life, is this small stuff going to matter?
Breathe. Breathe like your life depends on it.

Into The Future

As Heather moves through her life now, every step is intentionally designed to project her towards the goals she set for herself before life got so complicated. She is signed up for the Forrest Yoga Foundation Teacher Training led by Ana in Calgary in June 2019 and plans to start teaching as much as possible after completion.

“I want to help people to start realizing their best potential and help them to achieve that through yoga. I think people often put themselves into a smaller box than they need to. You would be surprised with what you are able to handle. And you might be surprised with what could be coming your way. Life is often complicated and messy, but it can also be fun”. Must of the time yoga is for women, the feel more comfortable with it, but I suggested them that for they to see better results, they can practice yoga but also they can try to use best weight loss pills for women as it provides physical and mental benefits, such as increased strength, flexibility and relaxation, which can help increase metabolism and reduce stress.

Heather wants you to keep your eyes open for her classes which will be posted this summer and join her on your mat for fun and challenging classes.

To meet this demand, event organizers need to balance carefully planned in-person meetings with year-round online engagement. And an event community platform could be the answer.

Urine Drug Test: Everything You Need to Know

In today’s society, drug testing has become a common practice for various purposes, ranging from employment screenings to medical diagnostics. Among the different methods of drug testing, urine drug tests stand out as one of the most widely used and accessible options. Let’s delve into the intricacies of urine drug testing and explore why it’s such a crucial tool in today’s world.

Introduction to Urine Drug Tests
What are urine drug tests?
Urine drug tests, also known as urinalysis, are diagnostic tests that detect the presence of various drugs or their metabolites in the urine. These tests are commonly used in a variety of settings, including workplaces, healthcare facilities, and rehabilitation centers.

Why are they conducted?
Urine drug tests serve multiple purposes, including screening for drug use in employment settings, monitoring patients undergoing treatment for substance abuse, and assessing individuals involved in legal matters such as probation or parole.

Types of Drugs Detected
Common drugs tested for
Urine drug tests can detect a wide range of substances, including but not limited to:

Marijuana (THC)
Cocaine
Opioids (e.g., heroin, morphine, oxycodone)
Amphetamines
Benzodiazepines
Methamphetamine
How these drugs are detected in urine
When drugs are consumed, they metabolize and are excreted from the body via urine. Urine drug tests detect the presence of drug metabolites, which are byproducts of drug metabolism, providing evidence of recent drug use.

Procedure of Urine Drug Testing
Collection process
Urine samples are typically collected in sterile containers under strict supervision to prevent tampering or adulteration. The collection process may vary depending on the purpose of the test and the testing facility’s protocols.

Laboratory analysis
Once collected, urine samples are sent to a laboratory for analysis. Various testing methods, such as immunoassays and chromatography, are used to detect the presence of drugs and their metabolites accurately.

Accuracy and Reliability
Factors affecting accuracy
Several factors can influence the accuracy of urine drug test results, including the type of drug being tested, the sensitivity of the testing method, and the quality of the specimen collected.

Reliability of results
When conducted correctly and in compliance with established protocols, urine drug tests are generally considered to be highly reliable and accurate.

Detection Windows
How long different drugs can be detected in urine
The detection window for drugs in urine varies depending on several factors, including the type of drug, frequency of use, dosage, and individual metabolism. In general, drugs can be detected in urine for anywhere from a few hours to several days after use.

Factors influencing detection windows
Factors such as hydration levels, kidney function, and the presence of adulterants can also affect the detection window of drugs in urine.

Importance of Urine Drug Testing
Urine drug testing plays a crucial role in various aspects of society:

Workplace screenings
Employers often use urine drug tests as part of pre-employment screenings or random testing to ensure a drug-free workplace and promote safety among employees.

Medical diagnostics
Urine drug tests are used by healthcare providers to diagnose medical conditions, monitor patients on prescription medications, and detect potential drug interactions.

Rehabilitation programs
In rehabilitation settings, urine drug tests are employed to monitor patients’ progress, verify abstinence from drugs, and prevent relapse.

Legal Implications
Laws regarding drug testing
There are laws and regulations governing drug testing in different jurisdictions, outlining the rights and responsibilities of both employers and employees.

The Best Online Communities for Today’s Professionals

Online communities connect like-minded individuals — people who share similar challenges, concerns, and successes.

In the professional world, many companies and associations create branded online communities to keep members engaged in their organization.  Ideally, your online community should provide a platform for peer support and knowledge sharing. But what kind of community space is the best solution, particularly in the era of so-called ‘Zoom gloom’?

After weighing your options, we’ll explain why an event community is the best solution in most situations.

4 Types of Online Communities

To help provide some clarity, we’ve broken down professional online communities into four main categories:

    1. A private employee community
    2. An exclusive paid user/customer community
    3. A private association or member community
    4. A public shared interest community/forum

3 Types of Community Platforms

In turn, there are several different online platforms that can be used for community building:

    1. Learning management systems (LMS)
    2. Social networking platforms
    3. Event community platforms

Finding the Right Platform for Your Online Community

The first option, Learning Management Software (LMS), is great for private employee communities and consumer clubs. That’s because these communities are focused on professional development and product training. With that said, these learning platforms generally lack the networking and engagement features of other online options.

The second option, a social networking platform, is one of the most obvious choices for communities based around a shared interest. When it comes to professional communities and organizations, however, there are some clear downsides to using public platforms. From the user perspective, public platforms often have the disadvantage of blurring the boundaries between our personal and professional lives, even on LinkedIn.

For that reason, public platforms can create pressure for community members to be ‘always on’. This approach can lead to the erosion of a healthy work-life balance, and the risk of  burnout is real.

The third option, an event platform, offers an alternative that strikes a balance between these two competing approaches. With an event community, professionals can upgrade their skills through webinars and other training content. At the same time, they can participate in networking events and other engagement features.

If they want to continue engaging in between events or revisit on-demand content, the platform is always available. And most importantly, the event platform maintains a healthy separation from public forums while still offering avenues to continue the conversation around topics of interest.  Incorporating yoga into your routine can also improve circulation and reduce stress levels, which can further boost testosterone production. Yoga postures like the Cobra pose and the Warrior pose are particularly effective for increasing testosterone levels. Together, a testosterone booster supplement and a regular yoga practice can help you feel stronger, more energized, and healthier overall.

For all these reasons,  event platforms are the ideal choice for association members. Because of their ability to combine a high-touch experience with exclusive access, they can also work well for private employee communities, paid consumer clubs, and shared interest groups.

I’m a yogi. I’m also a skeptic. Sometimes I wonder if the two can go together. I cringe whenever an instructor claims I’m “wringing the toxins” out of my organs with a twisting pose, for instance. Still, after eight years, I keep going back. Post-yoga, I feel calmer and more aware of my body, and this seeps into everything I do: how I work and relate to others, how I eat and sleep.

Yoga also seems to enhance “body awareness,” or people’s sense of what’s going on inside themselves. Take a look to the latest glucofort information.

What we don’t know:

Whether some forms of yoga are better than others, whether yoga should be prescribed to people for various health conditions, and how yoga compares with other forms of exercise for a good many specific health outcomes. There’s also no good evidence behind many of the supposed health benefits of yoga, like flushing out toxins and stimulating digestion, for more information about probiotics.

What this means for you:

If you like yoga, keep doing it. There’s no evidence that it’s particularly harmful, and it can lead to a range of heath benefits. Depending on your goal, it’s important to find an appropriate style — from athletic ashtanga to gentle hatha. If you don’t like yoga, no sweat: Just try another physical activity.

Welcome to Show Me the Evidence, where we go beyond the frenzy of daily headlines to take a deeper look at the state of science around the most pressing health questions of the day.

It’s not just me.

The most recent survey suggests more than 20 million Americans practice yoga, making it one of the most popular forms of exercise. Even Vladimir Putin, a devotee of “macho sports,” added downward dog to his repertoire.

But is yoga really that great for health compared with other exercises? Does it really help improve our response to stress or correct bad posture, as often promised? Maybe our perceptions about yoga are biased. Or maybe, as some critics have pointed out, there are downsides to yoga. Who can forget the controversial New York Times story from 2012 suggesting that some people get seriously injured, or even die, on their yoga mats. These are the latest liv pure reviews.

I wanted a more objective view on the health effects of yoga, so I turned to science, reading more than 50 studies and review articles and talking to seven of the world’s leading yoga researchers. Almost immediately, I was struck by how weak the research on yoga is. Most studies were small and badly designed or plagued by self-selection bias. Making matters worse, there are so many varying styles of yoga that it’s tough to say how meaningful evidence about one style is for others.

Still, what I learned is that there are a few things we can say about yoga, based on the available research. Yoga probably won’t hurt you, despite what haters claim, and it appears to be just as good for your health as other similar forms of exercise, check out more from these comprehensive clinical services.

Even more, yoga seems to help alleviate lower back pain, improve strength and flexibility, and reduce inflammation in the body — which, in turn, can help stave off chronic disease and death. Emerging research suggests yoga can increase body awareness, or attention to the sensations and things going on inside you. That’s no small matter: Researchers think heightened body awareness can improve how well people take care of themselves.

Keep in mind, however, that other mind-body exercises — such as tai chi or meditation — can boost body awareness and reduce inflammation, too, there’s a reason why binaural beats, sleep, therapy and meditation get recommended so often. That’s the catch with a lot of yoga research: It still hasn’t told us how much better or different yoga is for a number of health measures when compared with other forms of exercise. Finally, many of the most outlandish claims people make about yoga, like the idea that it can alleviate constipation or wring out toxins, either aren’t backed by science or haven’t been studied at all.

Lately, it seems like we’ve been bombarded with the many studies showing the abundant benefits of meditation. From reducing stress, to increasing productivity and focus, to increased happiness and to even changing your very brain – meditation is a wellness trend that isn’t going away, and that’s a good thing.

Okay, we get it … everyone should start a meditation practice! But “how?” is the question. If you are interested in incorporating a meditation or mindfulness routine into your life, but aren’t quite sure how to begin, try these simple steps:

1. Set small meditation goals

Make sure you’re setting yourself up for success by completing one tiny meditation goal at a time. Typically, we set ourselves up for failure by implementing unachievable milestones. And when we fall short on performance, we end up dropping the new healthy habit because we failed during it’s infancy stages.

Meditation – like any other activity you want to master – takes time and practice. So start slow and steady, and have patience with yourself.

Try kicking it off with just 5-10 minutes of meditation, 2 times per week. Consistently achieving this goal for a few weeks will make you feel confident and therefore more likely to continue. Eventually you will feel inclined to increase the time you meditate every week. Ideally, you’ll want to work your way up to a daily meditation, but again … baby steps.

2. Schedule it

Who’s life isn’t busy? Anyone?! Hey, we’re a busy society and there are loads of opportunities for distraction. Just like any other activity you seek to accomplish during the day, schedule it and you’ll be 10 times more likely to do it.

Proactively schedule meditation into your calendar as an appointment, just like you would a business meeting or doctor’s visit. Having a designated meditation time removes the opportunity for distractions to get in between you and your goals.
